Committees
We believe that everybody can do something. Our hundreds of volunteers are a very diverse group with different interests and availability. You can participate by serving on a committee, volunteering in the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Voter Engagement program, assisting with event planning and production, or simply by making a regular donation to support Urbandale Area Democrats' mission.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee oversees our social media content on Facebook and Instagram. Committee members also update and refresh the website regularly, publish a great newsletter, and email meeting and event information to our members.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee identifies member needs and works to grow and diversify the group. We welcome new members and encourage participation by all members based on their interests and availability.
Program Committee
The Program Committee secures speakers for membership meetings based on current events, Executive Committee suggestions and member inquiries.
Neighbor-to-Neighbor Voter Engagement Committee
Our Neighbor-to-Neighbor Committee is a grassroots organizing program designed to build relationships with our neighbors resulting in action to elect Democrats to federal, state and municipal offices.
Events & Fundraising Committee
The Events and Fundraising Committee manages all friend- and fundraising events, such as the 4th of July parade. It also schedules and manages issue forums on interesting and current topics.
